SHAKE HAND (VOA learning english)

The handshake is a 1-2-3 format.
1. You say your first and last names clearly. Then the other person should say their first and last names clearly.
2. You should extend your hand to them, fingers together. You should look directly into their eyes. This is called "eye contact" and it's extremely important in business.
3. You should shake hands -- usually three times. It could be a bit more or less. Your handshake should be very firm. A soft handshake means that you have no confidence or that you don't want to meet them.

I need to teach you about the handshake if you'd like to work in a foreign company.

We have a lesson on this in The Classroom. It's the first lesson in the "Lesson Plans for EFL Teachers."
